The First Year of Life is Key for Developing Life-Long Patterns for Your Baby.
Dr. Caroline Peterson’s approach to babies is largely informed by the work of
Hungarian pediatrician Emmi Pikler and
Czech pediatric neurologist Vaclav Vojta.
These pediatricians promoted the concept of baby-led development.
Baby-led development teaches that we don’t put babies into positions they can’t get into by themselves, we show respect for babies by talking to them and letting them know what to expect and including them in activities so that things are not done to the baby, but rather done with the baby.
